AI wearables have moved from novelty to crowded market. In a round-up published October 25, 2026, TechCrunch listed the most notable devices now on sale or in development: pendants, rings, wristbands and pocket gadgets that listen, transcribe and summarize daily life. The list includes Bee, Friend, Limitless, Nirva, Omi and Plaud, plus Meta's first AI wearable.
The category is splitting into two camps. Productivity tools aim at meetings, notes and reminders, while companion devices like Friend market themselves on emotional support. Even OpenAI is working on a compact AI companion device, according to TechCrunch, though no product has been announced.
Bee, Friend and Limitless: prices and features
Bee is the budget entry. The original pendant costs $49.99 and can be clipped to clothing or worn like a fitness band, with a mute button for privacy and an iOS-only companion app that carries a $19 monthly subscription. Amazon acquired the startup in July 2025 and launched two new models earlier this month: the Bee Frontier at $74.99, worn on the wrist or clipped on, and the Bee Eclipse at $99.99, a credit-card-sized device that attaches magnetically to the back of a smartphone. Both keep the same core features and can connect to Alexa.
