Samsung's Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 is picking up strong reviews, with Engadget calling it the new standard for smartwatch battery life. Reviewer Mat Smith gave the watch a 9 out of 10, praising its bright screen and staying power on a single charge.
The wearable costs $700 (roughly 2,030 TND) and keeps the squared-off 'squircle' design of the first generation, but Samsung has made the biggest upgrades under the hood. After skipping an Ultra refresh one year, the second model arrives in a single 47mm size aimed squarely at athletes and outdoor users.
Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 specs and battery life
The headline change is the battery. Capacity rises from 590mAh on the original Watch Ultra to 800mAh, an increase of more than a third, paired with the Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset. In Engadget's testing with mid-to-light use and the always-on display enabled, the watch ran around three days before dropping below 20 percent, and stretched to four or five days with workouts skipped or the always-on screen turned off.
Samsung also pushed the display further. The 1.52-inch panel reaches 5,000 nits of peak brightness, up from 3,500 nits on the previous generation and higher than most rival smartwatches. The titanium casing carries IP69K dust and water protection, a 10 ATM rating for dives up to 100 meters, and the watch measures 10.7mm thick at about 61.5 grams — lighter and slimmer than both its predecessor and Apple's latest Watch Ultra 4.
