OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 inside ChatGPT together with a new feature called Intelligent UI, which turns answers into interactive visuals instead of mostly text. According to The Verge, responses can now combine written explanations with diagrams, charts, forms and tappable buttons, all inside the conversation. The update reaches all ChatGPT users, with paid tiers first and free users a day later.
The launch matters because it changes what a chatbot answer looks like. A question about a seven-speed bicycle can now produce an interactive diagram with buttons that highlight each part, while a Mahjong lesson can display tiles sorted into scrollable categories. OpenAI says it trained GPT-6 to decide when a visual makes more sense than text, and how to format it in the reply.
What Intelligent UI brings to ChatGPT
The new interface adapts to the question. Comparisons can appear side by side, and explanations can turn into interactive charts. Users can also ask ChatGPT to build small tools directly in the chat, such as a retirement savings calculator, a bill splitter or a retro game, generated inline with the answer.
OpenAI announced its first GPT-6 models last month and is now bringing the Sol and Luna versions to ChatGPT. The company says GPT-6 improves web search, answers faster and shows stronger resistance to attempts to bypass its safety training.
- Interactive answers: charts, diagrams, forms and tappable buttons inside the chat
- In-chat mini tools: savings calculator, bill splitter, retro game
- GPT-6 models: Sol for paid tiers, Luna for Go and free users
