Ocient Inc., the Chicago-based maker of a high-performance data analytics platform, has raised $100 million in Series C funding to expand its agentic AI analytics business. The round was co-led by Boka Capital Ltd. and OCA Ventures LLC, with participation from previous investors including Greycroft Partners, In-Q-Tel, Blue Bear Capital, Buoyant Ventures, PSP Growth and Pritzker Group Venture Capital.
The new funding brings Ocient's total raised to $260 million. According to the company, demand is coming largely from national security organizations and telecommunications providers that need to analyze massive datasets without relying on sampling — a use case that agentic AI is accelerating.
OcientAIQ platform and agentic AI growth
Ocient said the financing will speed up delivery of its OcientAIQ Solutions, which let AI agents and human analysts query petabyte-scale datasets. The OcientAIQ Unified Data Platform combines ingestion, analytics, governance and agent orchestration in one system.
CEO John Morris said the architecture is built to avoid constant data movement and to have nothing replicated, using forward error correction instead of conventional replication to cut storage overhead. As software agents increasingly query Ocient's systems alongside human analysts, utilization rises and customers need more complete datasets.
