Samsung has not announced the One UI 9.5 beta yet, but the firmware is already moving behind the scenes. According to Engadget, a One UI 9.5 beta build for the Galaxy S26 Ultra has appeared on Samsung's Korean and US update servers — usually the final step before registrations open.
The wait should not be long. Samsung opened its previous point-five beta, One UI 8.5, on December 8, 2025, and One UI 9.5 is expected to debut with the Galaxy S27 in early 2027. That places the beta window in the coming weeks, with sign-ups handled through the Samsung Members app.
One UI 9.5 beta: what we know
The build circulating on Samsung's servers is limited to the Galaxy S26 Ultra, but other Galaxy S26 models are almost certain to follow. Reports also point to the Galaxy S25 series and the upcoming foldables getting access at some point.
Timing is still unofficial. SammyFans suggests early December, while SamMobile expects registrations could open in November — both are estimates based on a single previous point-five release.
- Firmware spotted: S948BXXU6ZZK3, for the Galaxy S26 Ultra only so far
- Expected beta countries: Germany, India, Poland, South Korea, the UK and the US
- Enthusiast sites SammyGuru and SammyFans expect the Galaxy S25 series, Z Fold 8 and Z Flip 8 to join later
- Carrier-locked phones may be excluded, as happened with the One UI 8.5 beta in the US
- One UI 9.5 stays based on Android 17 and keeps the mid-cycle slot of One UI 8.5
