Beijing-based Sand.ai, a startup focused on AI video generation, has raised $200 million in a Series A+ round, the company announced on Thursday. The deal values the company at more than $1 billion, making it China's newest AI unicorn. CoStone Capital and Shenzhen-listed IT infrastructure firm Wangsu Science & Technology jointly led the round, according to DealStreetAsia.
The financing is Sand.ai's third round of 2026 and brings its total fundraising over the past 10 months to $300 million. It comes less than five months after the startup collected more than $100 million across two earlier rounds.
