TypeSafe AI, the startup behind the machine-native System One Model called Jev, has raised $870 million in a Series A funding round at a $7.5 billion valuation, according to a company announcement dated October 9, 2026. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz, with participation from Sequoia Capital, existing investor DCVC, and a group of angel investors. Bloomberg first reported the raise via Techmeme.
At a $7.5 billion valuation, the round stands as an unusually large early-stage bet on enterprise AI infrastructure. The company says roughly one-third of the Fortune 500 already use Jev, which is designed to make decisions inside software and automate workflows rather than simply generate text.

The Series A is led by Andreessen Horowitz, with Sequoia Capital, DCVC and several angel investors also taking part. The company confirmed the round publicly and said the money will go toward expanding its machine-native models and building what it calls the best infrastructure for smart software.
The valuation of $7.5 billion places TypeSafe AI among the most highly valued young AI labs, even before what is typically a later-stage funding round. The company did not disclose revenue figures. It said it has already saved customers millions of dollars in production, without giving specific numbers.
TypeSafe AI also said it plans to add enterprise features that existing customers have requested. As it put it in its announcement, a third of the Fortune 500 are “getting their Jev on.”
