Apple has reportedly increased its iPhone Duo orders in the supply chain by 30%, according to a report from China's Securities Times cited by 9to5Mac. The move comes before pre-orders open this Friday, October 16, and suggests the company expects stronger demand than it first planned for.
The report says total iPhone Duo supply for the rest of 2026 will still not exceed 10 million units. That figure is up from earlier production estimates of 6 to 7 million units, so the new target appears to sit close to the 10 million ceiling.
iPhone Duo orders and supply chain shifts
The same supply chain sources tell Securities Times that Apple has raised iPhone 18 Pro Max orders by 10 to 15% while cutting iPhone 18 Pro orders by the same range. The overall supply target for the iPhone 18 Pro line is said to be unchanged, which contradicts a recent Nikkei Asia report.
Apple has not confirmed any of these figures. The numbers come from unnamed supply chain sources, so they should be treated as reported estimates rather than official guidance.
