Apple's new M6 Mac Mini has received its first proper price cut, with Amazon selling the base configuration for $779.99. That is more than $100 below the $899 Apple charges for the 2026 model, according to The Verge.
The discount arrives as part of an early wave of fall Prime Day Apple deals. 9to5Mac reports that most Mac Mini configurations Amazon sells, apart from the 24GB M6 model, have dropped to their lowest Amazon prices yet, cutting roughly $120 off the entry model and close to $150 off higher-spec versions.
M6 Mac Mini price and specs
The model on sale is the entry-level Mac Mini with 256GB of storage, 16GB of RAM and a 12-core CPU paired with a 12-core GPU. The Verge notes it keeps the same compact body as the previous generation but adds more processing power.
The M6 chip is around 20 percent faster than the M4 it replaces, based on The Verge's reporting. The bigger sticking point for buyers has been the launch price: the previous Mac Mini started at $599, while the 2026 edition opens at $899.
