Apple has added a 512GB unified memory option to the Mac Studio with the M5 Ultra chip, according to MacRumors. The configuration is now live in Apple's online store, and it does not come cheap: the minimum spend to reach 512GB of RAM is $22,299.
The ceiling is exclusive to Apple's most powerful desktop chip. Buyers must first select the M5 Ultra with a 36-core CPU and 80-core GPU, which starts at $6,799 in the United States, then add the 512GB memory upgrade for an extra $15,500.

The pricing details were reported by MacRumors and confirmed by 9to5Mac, which noted that Apple first promised the 512GB option when it announced the M5 Max and M5 Ultra versions of the Mac Studio in August, with availability set for October. That memory tier sits above the base 96GB of unified memory on the top-end M5 Ultra.
Storage is a separate cost. A Mac Studio with the top M5 Ultra, 512GB of unified memory and 1TB of storage lands at $22,299, and 9to5Mac reports the machine can be configured up to 16TB of storage for a total of $29,799.
