Android 17 is now rolling out to a wave of Samsung Galaxy phones, as the company expands its One UI 9 update to more devices and more regions. According to 9to5Google, the stable build has already reached the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and the Galaxy Z Flip 5, plus a long list of Galaxy A mid-rangers.
The move matters because it covers some of Samsung's most popular phones rather than only the newest flagships. South Korea received the stable update first, Europe followed, and the report says the United States and other markets should get it any day now.
Which Galaxy phones are getting One UI 9
The rollout is split between last-generation flagships, foldables and affordable Galaxy A models. For the Galaxy S23 series, this is the last flagship generation to receive the update, which makes it a significant software milestone for owners of those devices.
Samsung has now delivered One UI 9 to dozens of Galaxy smartphones, and the company keeps adding both new countries and older hardware to the list. The Galaxy A16 is still in its One UI 9 beta program but is close to the end, meaning its stable Android 17 release could arrive within weeks.
